Exploratory well ASZ-1X located on Prospect S was spudded-in on November 8th, 2018 using land rig EDC-53 with primary target of AR-C sand that produces in the neighbouring Al Jahraa field and secondary targets of deeper Abu Roash. Successful discovery was made in the AR-C formation and administrative procedures was accordingly started and is currently underway with EGPC to finalize new development lease in relation to such discovery.
