Upon the last year success of well ASH-2 which was completed in the Alam El-Bueib (AEB) formation, land rig EDC-50 just spudded-in well ASH-3 which is planned as a vertical well targeting same formation at the depths of 3,600 m to 3,950 m up-dip from well ASH-2. This operation witnesses the resumption of drilling operations in the Abu Sennan area which was abruptly terminated early in 2020 following the devastating Corona pandemic. Well is expected to be completed and tested utilizing land rig EDC-50 within 60 days.
