At new well location 12 km to the north-east of the producing field of Al-Jahraa at Abu Sennan of Egypt Western Desert, and upon completion of successful development well ASH-3, Rig EDC-50 spudded-in new exploratory well ASD-1X. New well location has advantage of its proximity to existing infrastructure thus enabling rapid placement on production upon a hopeful promising success. ASD-1X is planned as a vertical exploratory well with primary targets of Abu Roash “C” and “E” formations, with secondary target of Abu Roash “G” and is planned to be completed within 56 days.
